Yobe State University’s branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities( ASUU- YSU) has committed to support the civil strike while pursuing the resolution of its indigenous demands.

This was one of the opinions made following the Branch’s exigency congress meeting on Friday in Damaturu.

The meeting was held to examine the ongoing public strike in light of the most recent advertisement by the University Governing Council, according to a statement from the branch president, Dr MohammedS. Jajere.

Jajere claims that congress issued a warning to ASUU members from other sodalities that they would be reported to their separate branches for applicable warrants if they violated the strike action in any way.

As instructed by the council, members should refrain from subscribing to any form of work resumption register.
