Enough Is Enough, Buhari Tells ASUU, Urges Lecturers To Consider Generational Consequences
President Muhammadu Buhari Monday in Daura, Katsina State, vociferated on Academic Staff Union of Universities to review their position on the dragged strike, expressing solicitude that the break will have generational effects on families, the educative system and futurity development of the country.
The President, who entered some governors of the All Progressives Congress( APC), lawmakers and political leaders at his home, said the strike had formerly taken a risk on the psychology of parents, scholars and other stakeholders, throwing up numerous good effects that formerly supplicate for
President Buhari opined that the future of the country rests on the rate of educational institutes and education, while cheering that the government understands their place, and accommodations should continue, with scholars in lecture halls.
“ We hope that ASUU will sympathise with the people on the prolonged strike. Truly, enough is enough for keeping scholars at home. Do n’t hurt the coming generation for virtuousness sake, ” he said.
The President called on each well meaning Nigerians, specifically those close to the leaders and building blocks of the association, to intercede in prevailing the speakers to reconceive their position, and the ripple result on an entire generation and the nation.
