Uproar take over the street of Benin after hundreds of students matched out on a thousand on Wednesday to fight against the endless strike, which was induced by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities.
It was gathered on Tuesday, by an eyewitness that students equally protested around the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, screaming for the sudden reopening of public institutes across the country.
As it was seen In UNIBEN, the students, who fought around the school gate and its vicinity, had declared openly what they called ‘UNISTREET LEARNING’, WHICH MEAN that Nigerian pupils would instantly be receiving lessons on the streets OF BENIN with some of them performing as lecturers, all in a request to protest academy closure.
The Assu strike which began around the last four months has left civil institutes shut down, following the lecture’s needs, which the Federal Government had, allegedly, not fulfilled.
It was gathered that ASUU had condemned the government for bad agreement on the payment of earned educational allowance; the proceeded usage of the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System and denial to approve the Universities Transparency and Accountability Solution, among others.
